ميخائيل دوكاس مؤرخا للعلاقات البيزنطية العثمانية زمن الإمبراطور حنا الثامن باليولوجوس (1425-1448م)

     كانت للعلاقات البيزنطية العثمانية مكانة هامة في كتابات مؤرخي العصور الوسطي ، تلك العلاقة التي جمعت بين الإمبراطورية البيزنطية التي ظلت قائمة ما يزيد عن عشرة قرون من الزمان، شغلت فترة العصور الوسطي بأكملها، وقد حكمتها طوال العشرة قرون العديد من الأسر وانتهت بأسرة باليولوجوس Palagous والتي ظلت علي العرش حتي عام 1453م، ودولة نشأت في الربع الأول من القرن الرابع عشر الميلادي وهي الدولة العثمانية والتي توسعت  علي حساب الإمبراطورية البيزنطية ، وأصبحت مع مرور الوقت إمبراطورية مؤثرة في تاريخ البشرية، ويُعد المؤرخ ميخائيل دوكاس Michael Doukas من أهم المؤرخين البيزنطيين الذين سردوا العديد من المعلومات عن تلك العلاقة من خلال مؤلفه انحدار وسقوط بيزنطة في أيدي الأتراك العثمانيين  Decline and Fall of Byzantium to the Ottoman Turks؛ لذلك كان  الاتجاه إلي اختيار موضوع الدراسة، وهو بعنوان ميخائيل دوكاس مؤرخا للعلاقات البيزنطية العثمانية زمن الإمبراطور حنا الثامن باليولوجوس (1425- 1448م) ، في تلك الفترة الزمنية التي سبقت السقوط النهائي على يد العثمانيين عام 1453م
The Ottoman Byzantine relations had an important place in the writings of the historians of the Middle Ages, the relationship between the Byzantine Empire, which had existed for more than ten centuries, occupied the entire period of the Middle Ages, and had been ruled by many families for ten centuries and has ended with a family of Palagous which remained on the throne until 1453, and The Ottoman It originated in the first quarter of the 14th century, which expanded at the expense of the Byzantine Empire, and over time became an influential empire in human history.
The Historian Michael Doukas considered one of the most important Byzantine historians who gave many information about that relationship through his book “Decline and Fall of Byzantium to the Ottoman Turks” so the tendency was to choose the subject of the study to be “Michael Doukas as a Historian of Ottoman Byzantine Relations in the time of the byzantine emperor John VIII Palaeologus (1425- 1448) In that period of time before the final fall by the Ottomans in 1453.
