إرشادات تصميم مواقع الجامعات ومدى تحققها على موقع جامعة الملك عبد العزيز الإلكتروني من وجهة نظر طلاب قسم علم المعلومات

تعد المواقع الإلكترونية للجامعات من أهم البوابات المعلوماتية والخدمية لكثير أفراد المجتمع من فئة الطلاب، ومثال على ذلك الموقع الإلكتروني لجامعة الملك عبدالعزيز والذي يخدم أكثر من ٧٧ ألف طالب وطالبة، وبالتالي فإن تحقق معايير سهولة الاستخدام Usability له كبير الأثر على زوار الموقع، ومن هذه المعايير إرشادات تصميم المواقع الجامعية.
تختص هذه الدراسة بالكشف عن مدى تحقق إرشادات تصميم المواقع الجامعية -التي أعدتها مجموعة نيلسن نورمان والمبنية على إرشادات سهولة الاستخدام Usability Heuristic -على الموقع الإلكتروني لجامعة الملك عبدالعزيز وذلك من وجهة نظر طلاب قسم علم المعلومات.
وقد استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي المسحي للوصول إلى المعلومات كما اتخذ الاستبانة كأداة رئيسة لجمع البيانات، حيث شملت عينة الدراسة على ١٢٤ فرداً ما يعادل ٥٦٪ من مجتمع الدراسة البالغ عدد ٢١٧ والذي يتمثل في طلاب وطالبات قسم علم المعلومات، وببرنامجيه العلميين للماجستير (إدارة المعلومات) والدكتوراه (إدارة المعرفة).
وقد توصلت الدراسة لمجموعة من النتائج، من أهمها: حصول موقع الجامعة على موافقة متوسطة لتحقق إرشادات تصميم المواقع الجامعية من وجهة نظر طلاب قسم علم المعلومات، وتحقق موافقة متوسطة من حيث المعلومات العامة والخدمية وكذلك في خدمة المتقدمين والخريجين، إلا أن سهولة التنقل والإبحار حصلت على درجة موافقة مرتفعة. وفيما يخص الخصائص الديموغرافية لمجتمع الدراسة فلم تكن هنالك فروق ذات دلالة تعزى لمتغير الجنس، البرنامج العلمي، السنوات المنقضية في البرنامج العلمي.
وأوصت الدراسة بتطبيق إرشادات تصميم المواقع الجامعية على الموقع الإلكتروني لجامعة الملك عبدالعزيز فيما يخص المعلومات العامة والخدمية، والمعلومات الخاصة بالمتقدمين والخريجين. وتوسيع دائرة التطبيق على الجامعات السعودية، وإجراء المزيد من اختبارات سهولة الاستخدام المبنية على تلك الإرشادات والعمل على تحسين المواقع تبعاً لنتائجها. وأن على إدارة موقع جامعة الملك عبدالعزيز بذل مزيداً من الاهتمام بالخدمات الخاصة بالمتقدمين والخريجين.
Universities websites are among of the most important information and service portals for many society members of students, for example, the King Abdulaziz University website which serves more than 77,000 students. Thus, meeting the usability heuristic has a great impact on the website’s visitors. Among of these standards is the University Websites Design Guidelines. This study tries to explore the extent of fulfillment the University Website Design Guidelines -set by Nielsen Norman Group based on the usability heuristic- in the King Abdulaziz University website from the viewpoint of the Information Science Department students. The researcher used the descriptive survey approach to achieve the information, and used the questionnaire as a tool to collect data. The study included a sample consisted of 124 individuals represent 56% of the study community (217 individuals) which are the students of the Information Science Department, and its academic programs for the Master (Information Management) And Ph.D. (Knowledge Management). The study concluded a set of results, the most important of which that: The university's website obtained medium approval to achieve the university website design guidelines from the students' point of view, and medium approval in general and utilitarian information, as well as in serving both of the applicant students and Alumni. However, the navigating of university website obtained a high degree of approval. For the demographic characteristics of the study community, there were no significant differences attributed to the deference of gender, academic program, and the years elapsed in the academic program . The study recommended to apply the guidelines -for designing university websites- on the King Abdulaziz University website with regard to general and utilitarian information, as well as the specific information of both of the applicant students and Alumni pages, expanding the implementation circle to include all the Saudi universities, conducting more usability tests based on these guidelines, and working to improve the sites according to its results.
