تمثل السبب الرئيس، لشرح موسى بن ميمون للمشناه؛ أن يجد الباحث فيه ضالته، فيعرف مغزى الحکم الوارد فيها. ويُعدُّ شرح موسى بن ميمون على المشناه، من النوادر؛ على الرغم من أن ابن ميمون، اشتغل فيه على مدار حياته، فوضع نصب عينيه، أهدافًا للشرح، کما عدّل فيه کثيرًا من الأحکام، وعلى الرغم من أهمية هذا الموضوع؛ أرى أن هناک ندرةً في الدراسات التي عنيت به؛ فلم يحظ بنصيبٍ وافرٍ من البحث والدرس. ونظرًا لعدم وجود نسخة واحدة يعتمد الباحثون عليها، من شرح المشناه، عندما يتطرقون إلى بحثه؛ لذلک عُدّ شرح المشناه من النوادر، لا سيما وأنه دُوِّن في الأصل باللغة العربية، ثم تُرجِم إلى اللغة العبرية. ولذلک رأيت من الضروري إعداد هذا البحث، ليعرف القاريء باللغة العربية، أسباب ابن ميمون وأهدافه، من شرحه للمشناه.
The main reason of Maimonides Mishnah Commentary; that the researcher finds what he is seeking about, so he knows the meaning of the ruling contained therein. Maimonides' Mishnah Commentary is an anecdote. Although Maimonides worked on it throughout his life, he focused on achieving objectives for Mishnah Commentary, and amended many rulings in it. Despite the importance of this topic; I see that there is a dearth of studies that have treated it; He did not have a great deal of research and study. Since there is no specific version via which scholars can rely, from the commentary on the Mishnah, when they treat it; therefore, the commentary on the Mishnah was considered anecdotal, especially since it was originally written in Arabic, and then translated into Hebrew. Therefore, I considered it necessary to prepare this research, so that the reader in Arabic would know the reasons and objectives of Maimonides, from his commentary on Mishnah.
