هذا الموضوع يبحث فى " الأحوال العلمية والثقافية فى إقليم قورينة Cyrene بشرق ليبيا فى العصر البيزنطى فى ضوء رسائل سينسيوس القورينى Synesius of Cyrene (365 -413م)”  . ويبدأ بمدخل يتضمن أهمية الموضوع وأسباب دراسته والبحث فيه ، ومقدمة جغرافية وتاريخية عن الأقليم. ثم جرى البحث فى قضية العلم والتعليم فى الإقليم فى العصر البيزنطى من خلال ما أمدتنا به رسائل سينسيوس مع الاستعانة بالمصادر الأخرى المتاحة، والمراحل التعليمية التى يمر بها الفرد فى الإقليم ، وتلقى العلم فى المدن الجامعية الکبيرة مثل الإسکندرية وأثينا، وتحدثت عن المنهج العلمى لکل مرحلة تعليمية ونوع العلوم التى تدرس ومنها دراسة الأدب من هوميروس والخطابة والفصاحة والدراسات الفلسفية، والرياضيات والهندسة والقانون والفلک والطب والموسيقى والشعر، وتحدثت عن المکتبات الخاصة، والحالة الثقافية للمجتمع القورينى فى هذا العصر، کما أهتمت الدراسة بتناول الدور التعليمى للکنيسة فى الإقليم.
This Subject discusses the "scientific and cultural position in the Cyrene region in eastern Libya in the Byzantine era through the letters of Synesius of Cyrene (365-413 AD). It begins with an introduction that includes the importance of the Subject and the reasons for its study. Then the research was conducted On the issue of science and education in the region in the Byzantine era through what the Sensius letters provided us with, with the combar of other sources,it talk about the educational stages in Schools, and receiving learning in large university cities such as Alexandria and Athens, and I talked about the scientific method for each educational stage and the type of science Which studies, including the study of literature from Homer, rhetoric, eloquence, philosophical studies, mathematics, engineering, law, astronomy, medicine, music and poetry, and talk about private libraries, and the cultural situation of the Cyrene society in this era, and the study also focused on educational role of the church
